Pistachio Buttercream

So one of my husbands favorite fillings to eat is my Pistachio Buttercream. It’s great in cakes and Macarons! Loved by all and not very hard to bake either!

Here’s how you make it!


  • 115 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g ground pistachio
  • 200 g icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract


  1. In large mixing bowl with paddle attachment, or using a handheld electric mixer, beat the butter and ground pistachio until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar, heavy cream and vanilla extract and beat until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. And your all set! Fill or frost whatever you like!
