Dutch Baby Pancake

It’s Sunday, and as per my home tradition, we have brunch. Its only my Husband and I (plus our cat Ludwig) But still, we try to make the most of our weekends not working. So today I decided to bake a Dutch Baby pancake, instead of small pancakes. This way you get one large one, perfectly shared for both, easily done, and it’s beautiful in taste. Fluffy, and yummy! Super easy to bake, and if you have many kids, or lots of family visiting, this is a perfect breakfast/brunch, that you can whip up in no time, and can be served to many people!

Heres how you bake it!

INGREDIENTS :

  • 128g Flour (1 Cup)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 250ml Milk (1 Cup)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Butter, melted

METHOD :

  1. Turn your oven on to 235C (roughly 450F).
  2. In a medium sized bowl, add flour, eggs, salt, and milk, and whisk by hand until it all comes together and starts bubbling a little froth. Then add in 2 tbsp of butter, and whisk again until frothy (you can use a hand held mixer if you wish, but its easier by hand, at least I think so đŸ˜‰ )
  3. Then place the remaining butter onto a skillet (fit for the oven), and pour the frothy batter over. Immediately put into the pre-heated oven, and bake for 15-18 min, or until the edges are dark golden, and the centre has risen.
  4. Take out, and brush some more butter over, dust with icing sugar and serve with some fresh berries.

Enjoy!
